TREVOSE, PA – October 27, 2016 – The ASI Show® announced today the completion of the 2016 ASI Roadshow season with a 4% increase in distributor and end-buyer attendance over 2015.
This year, the ASI Roadshow celebrated 10 years of connecting suppliers and distributors in the promotional products industry. Suppliers saw approximately 100 distributors per city over the 9 month show season across the U.S. and Canada. Back again in 2016, ASI distributor members were provided the opportunity to escort their clients on the show floor and give them a hands-on experience with a variety of product lines. While end-buyer information remained confidential, participating suppliers were able to easily identify them by a yellow lanyard and a generic badge which enabled them to communicate to both distributor and end-buyer effectively. The ASI Roadshow saw a 56.6% increase in end-buyer attendance over 2015 and will continue to allow distributor members to escort their clients again in 2017.
“2016 was an exciting year for the Roadshows,” said Nick DiNicola, director of the ASI Roadshows. “We experienced an increase in supplier participation and an overall 4% increase in distributor and end-buyer attendance. The Roadshow attracted a great mix of products from a pool of experienced quality suppliers as well as a great mix of quality distributors in each city. With the addition of end-buyer participation, I’ve seen more sales on the show floor than ever. I expect the momentum to continue into 2017 with the addition of several new cities and increase of suppliers signing up.”
“Being a first time ASI Roadshow exhibitor, I found this experience to far exceed my expectations,” said Zack Miller of BCG Creations (asi/37693). “From day one I met many quality distributors and have a number of great leads to follow-up on. I even have a potential onsite sale and expect to sell more when I return to the office from the leads I obtained on the road. I would recommend the ASI Roadshow to suppliers who want to meet 100+ distributors in a day!”
Distributor Shari Verrone of Stackable Sensations (asi/332999) said, “We love when the ASI Roadshows come around! Our team members get a burst of extra excitement knowing they will see new and interesting products. This gives them the opportunity to think outside the box with new vendors they may not see at a PPAI show.”
In 2017, the ASI Roadshow will host events in 11 new cities with a focus on the west and east coast markets.
Each year, the ASI Roadshow gives distributors across the country the opportunity to meet with top suppliers in an intimate environment without traveling too far from home. Each Roadshow features a half-day schedule, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and provides five points toward an ASI BASI™ (Bachelor of Advertising Specialty Information) and MASI™ (Master of Advertising Specialty Information).
